Qipit, a new service launched at DEMOfall 06
September 26th, 2006It’s been hectic around here to get the new qipit service ready for the DEMOfall 2006 presentation in San Diego. We spent the days and nights of the last few months writing, coding, and testing like crazy.
The qipit site went live just in time for the show, although you might notice that some pages are not perfect. We’re still working on the latest bits and pieces that will stabilize the website and ensure the smoothest possible navigation. While the interface still needs a little work, the back end technology is better than ever. We have incorporated the knowledge gained from months of testing and our beta trial. This is the same patented core technology we recently deployed in an enterprise edition with a large Asian carrier, and can be found in more than 10 million handsets.
The DEMOfall presentation was a complete success and was praised by the press.

So, what is qipit really about? With qipit, everyone can immediately and easily keep and share anything - a personal handwritten note, class notes, business documents from meetings, information on a bulletin board or a whiteboard, an article in a magazine, a recipe - anytime, anywhere with their camera phone or digital camera. To use qipit, you simply send the captured images (in the form of a .jpeg file) of your documents to copy@qipit.com (for black and white) or color@qipit.com (for color). Qipit then transforms them into crisp clean digital documents, which you receive back as a PDF file. When uploading a picture, you can even ask qipit to send the digital copy to a specific email address or fax. It is that simple! You can try it right away. Just sign-up at www.qipit.com!
Of course, we have plenty of ideas for new features, that we will proudly announce on our blog. So stay tuned as we further enhance the service. Be assured - we will always make sure to keep qipit simple! Please send us your comments and suggestions at feedback@qipit.com, we’re always listening.
