Winners of the Play Cupid with Qipit Contest!
February 21st, 2007Thanks to all of you who sent in your qipit valentines. There were not many artists among you, we must say, but we had some good laughs looking at all of the entries. And we did have some very creative qipits!
The winner was certainly no great work of art, sorry Jason, but we absolutely loved the technique. Jason from Austin, Texas made his valentine (quickly, from what it looks like!) on a plain sheet of paper and captured a picture of his reflection in the mirror with his Motorola Q, holding the valentine. We’re not sure if Jason wrote backwards or just flipped the photo before he sent it to qipit. But he got major creativity and style points for this and we thought it made for an interesting image and a fun way to send a very personalized qipit valentine.
The second and third place winning entries from Jeanie of London, England and Jonathan of LA, California just sort of tickled our funny bone. Jeanie created her qipit valentine by drawing on a large paperboard and capturing the image with a Sharp 903SH 3G camera phone before sending it to qipit from her phone. And Jonathan created his qipit valentine using one of our templates and taking the photo with his digital camera, then uploading it to qipit.
Thanks again to all who entered the contest and congratulations to our winners, especially Jason who will be the proud owner of a new iPhone!
