The LG enV has a candy bar design with a twist. Opening the candy bar phone reveals a QWERTY keyboard and an internal color screen. The keyboard is great; it makes it a breeze to send long text messages to your friends. The phone features a 2 mega pixel camera with auto focus and flash, micro SD Memory card slot, speakerphone, and Bluetooth. What more could you ask for!

Since the 2 mega pixel camera sports auto focus it works great with qipit. Using the LG enV and qipit you can make clear copies of whiteboards, hand written notes, documents and newspapers down to an 8 point font (See the test page image). It’s one of the best camera phones offered by Verizon Wireless to use with qipit, but not quite as good as the pricey 3.2 mega-pixel Samsung SCH-A990 from a camera quality standpoint. Although, its auto-focus function works with much less delay. It’s almost instant. This is a very nice phone. We really like it!
Now here’s how to use the LG enV to make qipits. First you have to apply the proper camera settings to the phone:
1. Open the lens cover on the back of the phone.
2. Open the phone with the display all the way open, laying flat.
3. Enter Camera Mode:
- Press the camera button on the left side of the phone (it will now be just above the display on the side of the phone), this activates the camera in video mode.
- Hold the button again for a few seconds until you see “starting camera mode” displayed.
4. Press the right softkey labeled “Options”.
5. Use the left and right navigation to scroll through the settings:
- Shoot Mode – Set to Normal
- Resolution –1280×960 (If it’s any larger it will not send over Verizon’s network.)
- Flash – Off
- White balance – Auto
- Color Effects – Normal
- Night Mode – Off
- Auto Focus – One Step
6. When all the settings are correct, go back to the camera view by pressing the CLR button.
Now you are ready to start making qipits!
1. Take a picture by pressing the “ok” button in the middle of the navigation D-pad.
2. To send, press the “ok” button again.
3. Enter copy@qipit.com or color@qipit.com in the “To” field to send the picture to qipit. (If you’ve put qipit in your contacts, which we highly suggest, select “Contacts Lookup” from the previous menu.)
4. Press “ok” again or the “send” button to send your image to qipit.
That’s it! In about a minute or less, you will have your qipit.

This review of the enV says it is great, but when I went to my phone page and selected the LG 9900 (enV) which I am thinking of upgrading to, it says that for working with qpics it is only FAIR. Apparently the phone rating page needs to be updated for this phone.

Ah, another three-lettered intelligence agency led start-up.
What another excellent way to openly snoop on private documents!
