Qipit Debuts on Lifehacker Top 10

January 10th, 2008

We did it. All of you who are users of qipit are the reason we have been listed on the Lifehacker Top 10 list. Lifehacker, a blog dedicated to providing the latest in “tech tricks, tips and downloads for getting things done,” included qipit on its Top 10 Underhyped Webapps list.

We will accept, with all due humility and gratitude, the compliment that “Qipit ain’t the prettiest webapp you’ll ever see, but it does a great job of capturing meaning from low-res images of text,” as very high praise. And who knows, maybe we have something “prettier” to debut in the near future.

We’re proud to be a “workhorse” within the webapp world. We’re especially proud to be recognized for the work we’ve been doing on behalf of our users by one of the very best blogs being written - Lifehacker.

As we move forward in 2008, we’ll be exploring even more ways that our service can help you with your professional and personal lives. If you are using qipit in ways we might not have thought of here at qipit central, we want to hear about them. Record keeping and organizational tasks, document recreation, sending handwritten cards and drawings over the Internet, are just a few of the uses we’ve been told about that are already making people’s lives easier.

So please let us know how you’re using qipit at work, home or in your hobbies. And remember to save yourself the hassle and money if you need to fax, scan or copy a document when you’re on the road or away from your office.

We’re very proud of the progress we’re making with our not-so-beautiful, hard-working, and underhyped webapp. We want you to continue to be a part of that story. I can’t wait to hear from you.
